Apparently the rewinders got the same amount of turns as the original, only thing that changed was different gauge.
He did say it was hard to wind. I am amazed that he didnt think it was the wrong gauge.
SO the effects of the larger gauge, same turns? Will the motor lose HP? Mentioned was the...
What effect will increasing the wire guage have upon a DC (140-180 Volt) perm magnet motor?
Our rewinding shop did the above job, but guage changed from .67mm to .75mm. They now have the treadmill back, it seems as tho the motor does not have enough HP. It struggles to get up to speed, or...
We had a customer change over his original 10 hp, 4 p 3 phase tefc motor, for another. It was runnig a compressor in a refridgeration cool room. The motor provided only started once under load, and took full load amps. It was unable to start under load again. Even with the belts loosened...
Thnks for youyr reply motorspert. I didnt quite understand all of it tho. i dont quite understand how u arrived at 16% motor impedanc, although more importantly, 6x normal current.
Do you also mean that what current the motor takes at 33 vac @ 50 hz, will resemble 200 vac @ 300 hz?
We have a small (approx 120w) three phase, high frequency motor, recently repaired. We have re-wound the windings. It also needed replacement rotor bars, which were completed, offsite. The motor is rated at 200vac (2 pole) and 300 Hertz. spins upto 18,000 rpm. flc rated 3.8 amps

I am relativly new to this forum, and have read many 'old' posts up until i came across this particular one. I understand that most users of this forum are professional, both educational and practical. And i have noticed that some suggested solutions are calculated, expensive, drawn-out and...
I currently am running some different motors, some complete with Reduction Drives. Some three phase, and some single. I am wondering what my options are to vary the output speed of these motors units.(Both the three & single phase) I have searched through some old threads in this forum, and...
