    aluminum pipe for helium quench

Thanks for the reference and yes I'm in the US. The pressure(.4bar)is from the manufacturer's rep and he did the calcs to sized the pipe once we had a route. I imagine it's a little larger because we need several elbows before we can get outside. Are these types of pipes generally welded?

    aluminum pipe for helium quench

I am working on the quench pipe for a liquid helium cooled magnet. (We need 300mm inside diameter and can only have 0.4 bar of back pressure for ~126ft length of pipe.) Right now I am thinking aluminum. Have been searching for a good design reference - ie: which alloys are suitable...

    Condensate Pan Termination

Thank you AbbyNormal and lilliput1. The coil has the mfg's frame around the coil. The plan is to use the bolt holes in that frame and some angles beneath to support the coils. My plan is to have the end supports welded together and then galvanized prior to installation. At the point where...

    Condensate Pan Termination

I have a project to raise 4 chilled water cooling coils that are currently floor supported (concrete floor) with no condensate drain pans. There is a lot of good information about how to design the cross section of the pans. However I have not been able to see how to terminate the ends of the...
