Hi dubliner75 I have used fluent to model combustion of mixtures (fuel and air) and also to predict NOx formation rate etc.The student edition wont have the gambit programs to be able to create the 3d models , but you can always get the gambit model files provided with the tutorials. check...

hey tuna lover If you want an easy programs for your specific problem whcih doesnt require programming than i would suggest a programs called FLUENT , its a cfd software which is very user friendly there is also a tutorial on your subject...
