    Has anyone else used MASW to estimate shear wave velocity for site seismic classification? I am using it on a project for the first time and would love to know that I'm not the only one using it... Thanks for any comments.

    effect of fill on existing pile capacity

    The downdrag will be relatively small, less than 1 kip. I'd ignore it. Assuming you are using the ENR formula for pile bearing capacity, you can rely on the fact that this pile has a big factor of safety.
