    Procedure for measuring coarse perlite % - carbon steel

    Is there a standard procedure (ASTM or other) for measuring the amount of coarse perlite in carbon steel rod used for wiredrawing? We currently evaluate it by eye, at magnification 400x on the optical microscope. Regards,
