ASME material
My question had two parts. I can find materials in the ASME code that have the required allowable, but what materials can be formed into an elliptical head? For example, SA-517A satisfies the allowable requirement of 34000 psi, but I cannot find a manufacturer that makes an elliptical head...- norman1

I'm looking for a ASME code listed material for a formed ellipitical head (24" O.D.) that has an allowable (Div. 2) of 34000 psi minimum. Any ideas on what material and can it be formed to a 2:1 ellipitical head?- norman1
