I am designing a test chamber that will be exposed to Jet Fuel spray in a nitrogen enviroment at roughly 760K @ 30 bar. I was thinking a 316 stainless would be fine, but I'm not sure of the corrosiveness of the jet fuel. Does anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for getting back to me.
The connectors are composed of several layers of varying materials (stainless, some alloy and ceramic insulator). The exact dimensions and compositions are company secrets. Also, the client would like to see how they perform compared to the manufacturers spec...
How does ASME Section VIII Division 2 handle proof testing of components of pressure vessels? I can't find any reference to it in this division. Section VIII Div 1 has a section on this (UG-101).
The vessel I'm designing was examined under Appendix 4 of Section VIII Div 2 except for several...
Hey,
I'm trying to make a drawing of a complicated tubing system that must only display the centre lines on the drawing for clarity.
I have been experimenting with "Get Model Sketches" command and "including" the 3D sketches used to make the tubing. In the drawing they show up as centre...
Hey,
I am performing a pressure vessel analysis using ASME boiler code Section VIII Division 2 and Algo's FEMPRO (latest edition). This requires examining the stress intensity. The stress linearization software provides an average value of the stress intensity Pm + Pb, but the code requires...
