I checked out the sites you mention and they are more about de-humidification. We are trying to maintain a high level of humidity in the russian bath. The question we had was with regard with outside air and whether or not we had to use a high level of outside air (uses lots of energy to heat...
The bath will be wet and hot. The room is 540 sq ft and 7 feet high, so we figure about 30 people at maximum capacity. The bath is at a private gym - not a public bath house.
Has anyone designed a russian bath? We are conflicted as to whether or not to recirculate the hot air within the room with minimum outside air or to use 100% outside air and heat it all up to avoid odor problems. We are hoping a voice of experiance can let us know what has worked for them in...
I have been using my own judgement in determining the loads in a dense trading environment. I was curoius to see if my calculations were in line with what others have done or would do for a similar environment. Whether or not they would treat the poeple as light office workers or if they would...
ASHRAE provide guidelines for light and moderate office work latent and sensible loads for people. I am curious as to what latent and sensible loads (for people) are used by other engineers for a dense trading enviroment which is different (in my opinion)then a regular office worker.
Any...
The project is in North Carolina and will be a buried tank so I was thinking concrete and the size would be about 40,000 gallons. I am going to try and desing the pipe diffusers that SAK9 suggested. I was hoping that a mfg provided this kind of tank but it looks like I will have design a...
Has anyone installed a chilled water storage tank (not ice storage) for the purposes of having enough chilled water to keep a server room active in case of chiller shut down? If so, how did you deal with the problem of mixing the stored chilled water with the new warmer water? Does anyone know...
