Thanks!
For 1, this won't help solve my problem right? I believe this will just hide any non-geometric parts in assy nav.
For 2, can you explain how to modify the new part template?
Also, I've already created quite a few parts. These parts do actually have geometry, I'm able to export step...
I've been using NX at home for a few years, and every since the last update 7.5.4.4 (or maybe the update before that) every new part I create only shows up as a non-geometric component when I try to add it to an assembly.
Any old parts are added to assemblies without issue. I've attached a...
Awesome, thanks a lot. I will solidify it and try again.
I would be interesting in hearing about other ways to get a surface created in proe into matlab. I want to turn it into a collection of coordinate points that Matlab can deal with. Seems like this may be a bit trickier if it's a solid...
Okay, so I tried making a very simple model (solid torus shape) and the file type .stl does appear in the type box of the 'save a copy' dialog box. So I guess there is something about my original model that proe does not like. It is made of 227 rounded surfaces made in 'style' mode. Any guesses?
Hi,
I'm trying to export a part model to a stl file so I can open it in MATLAB. The instructions given in the help center offer two different approaches:
1) Save a Copy:
The help center says that you can select "stl" as a file type with which to save. However 'stl' does not appear in the...
I'm trying to offset sketch geometry within sketch mode. There are two other posts that try to deal with this:
thread554-88101
thread554-51438
neither is satisfactory for my needs. I need to create an extrusion, the cross section of which contains offset splines. In AutoCAD, Solidworks...
I'm trying to do something very similar. I'm tying to revolve a modified sine wave to make a model that looks like a ripple. I've constructed the data set in Matlab and am trying to follow the above technique but have run up against a wall. Once I'm in the 'modify' option for the spline I can't...
