    Help with air fuel controller

Hey guys, I'm trying to build my own air fuel controller. I know they make them, but I dont want to spend alot of money on some pretty LCD display. I built one a while back that was pretty simple. It consisted of two 10k potentiometers that ran in line with the MAP sensor. This was used...

    Opinions regarding this intake

With that in mind, what would be your opinions regarding a dual plane intake manifold? One that would use butterfly valves to close of air flow to the shorter runners during low rpm's and opening up at high rpm's? This design has been used numerous times in OE form,,, but would there be better...

    Opinions regarding this intake

I would have to agree... I'm currently trying to find information regarding the tuning of ITB's. I'm not interested in foreced induction for my car at this time. This intake design seemed so wrong in too many ways. I belive an all aluminum intake would be better for these kind of...

    Intake runner questions

I'm not a part of FSAE yet... Soon enough. My questions are for a setup that I'm trying to tune.

    Calculation For Intake runner length?

"Notice that with invididual throttle bodies (ITB's) you lose this resonance effect because the reflected wave escapes out into the engine bay (or the atmosphere) and is not stored and returned by a plenum/acoustic chamber. ITB's do NOT use ram theory to get that extra kick at peak torque...

    Opinions regarding this intake

Good catch, I thibk I just assumed PVC since it is so common. Thanks for the info, I dont believe i thought of it from the stand point of the differences between the types of plastic.

    Calculation For Intake runner length?

I believe I read that in another thread that was going here not too long ago. Is this equation effective for both full intake manifolds and individual throttle bodies setups? I would think there would be a difference in tuning ability since ITB's do not make use of pulse resonance.

    Opinions regarding this intake

Well, actually its not an aluminum intake... the intake is plastic. Then they cut the runners down and jb weld the PVC pipe into that. Seems a little dangerous to me. And also, most of these gus are not intending to run any kind of forced induction in these homemade manifolds.

    Opinions regarding this intake

My apologies, I forgot to include the link to the thread http://forum.2gn.org/viewtopic.php?t=12037

    Opinions regarding this intake

This is an intake that is popular among the Neon owners... I dont believe that it is functional regarding performance gains. i have not personally personally performed this modification. I just wanted to see what kind of problems everyone saw with this setup. Please feel free to "Bash" it... I...

    Calculation For Intake runner length?

Well, actually the integra page you posted didnt really point me in the direction i was looking for, but it was some very interesting information. In the page it said that when running ITB's, that you didnt tune it for maximum resonant pulse... I guess what i'm looking for is similar, but...

two small turbos better than one big turbo(?)

I believe toyota and nissan run one smaller turbo and one larger on their twins setups. This allows for the most power through almost all rpm ranges.

    Calculation For Intake runner length?

Hello all, I'm currently working on an Individual Throttle body intake for my Car. I was wondering what to use to calculate the optimum runner length for the intake, before the throttle bodies. Better if there was a way to choose which Rpm the power would be coming on full. If anyone has any...

    Convergent/divergent nozzle

Ok... I understand the principle behind ram air. Not what i'm going for. If the air entering the nozzle is subsonic, then passes through the nozzle and becomes supersonic... could you feed this supersonic air into the motor... Like i said, a type of natural forced induction...

    Convergent/divergent nozzle

Hello all... I was curous if anyone thought that it might be possible to use a convergent/divergent nozzle on the intake of a car. Maybe as a type of natural forced induction. I'm pretty new to this, so if anybody has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks, stephen
