    Sizing a reciprocating compressor

You can get a copy of the Aerial sizing program but I don't think it will help you much if you've never sized anything. If this is for your work, ask an experience Rotating Eng or just fill out a data sheet and send it in for a quote.

    Compressor design/installation requirements

Besides 617, might want to look at API 11P for recips, 614 for lube systems, and GPSA for some basic descriptions. Dresser also has some good literaturue about centrifugal units on their website. Good luck.

    ENGINEERING BOOK FOR GAS COMPRESSORS

The Royce book is good. For an overall understanding I would recommend the GPSA Handbook. If you want details you're better off reading industry articles. Also, subcribe to Compressor Technology magazine, it's free.

Need help - Compressor preliminary sizing

You may want to just write a program to calc Head, #stages, HP, etc. requirments. Based on your results you can then take a look at GPSA Handbook and do some preliminary selection.
