    Baldor DC Servo - Stepper???

    Thanks again for the help. Looks like I've got it working. I just bench tested the motor today using a Victor 885 Speed Controller. Used a little RobotLogic Servo tester and the motor powered up just fine and reversed no problem. Apparently the unit on the end of the motor actually is a brake...

    Hmmmm. Very interesting, I hadn't thought of that, but it definitely makes sense - the units the motors are on would need to be extremely still after positioning, when being used. Good idea - I'll check that out. Thanks very much - Regards, Art

I'm thinking however that this motor is not unlike the Magmotors available currently that are also 4 wire brushed...
