I am new at all this hydrology stuff and need some help.
I have cross sections of a channel at 50' intervals for 400'. I need to calculate where the water level will be at each section with a 1000 CFS running through it. I can't seem to find a direct answer in any books I have looked in. My...
I am trying to analyze a channel to see if it can handle a 100 year flood event in our area. We have LDD but it doesn't have this kind of capabilities. Is there any freeware/shareware software available for this type of study?
I need to calculate the amount of cfs overflowing a road
at a maximum of twelve inches. How can I do this? For
example... I have 12" of water running over a road sloped a 2% and 26' wide, how do I calc the CFS for it.
What is a really good book to learn hydrology from.
I am familiar with using plenty of software environments
to create hydrology information...but I don't have
a clue if that information is correct or not (Im sure it is, but I would like to know why). I would like to know enough about hydrology...
Where can I find an example of a proffecional looking
hydrology report for small studies. (such as sizing
pipes, calcing Q values for only a few basins, and etc.)?
Thanx
