    AE STRESS ENGINEERS

    Thank you for the fast response, yes, i do have B.S in AE, and i have been working in a team where we do lot of AFC (airframe change repairs). I kind of knew that i have to be in the strentgh team to learn the analysis, but thank for the heads up in taking M.S, i am going back to school. cheers.

    i would recommend anderson, low speed aerodyanmics. or go to MIT opencourseware, they have tutorials on this. i think you need to understand the concept of a drag for a vehicle in flight, also what kind of speed u r dealing with? that can change too with the drag

    Good questions for stress engineers

    I think it would be a good start with asking new engineers to start with FBD of a structure, define safety factor, predict a failure in truss/plate when 2 forces are pulling on opposites sides. Another one would be to ask stress difference between metals and composites.
