Thank you edmcclave for your feed back on the possible cause
of the corrosion. As only the bottom of the tank was affected
it has been coated with Polyester Resin followed with two coats of suitable paint for use with drinking water
The owner insisted we fit a magnesium anode to the baffles...
I have a problem on a steel yacht with Aluminium fresh water
tanks that are showing early signs of electrolysis corrosion,
close to the tanks are two battery's could these be the cause
of the broblem and should I fit zinc anodes to the tanks?
There was also white crystals deposited in the tanks...
