    Actually the weld was MIG welded. Our lab results show up to 0.9% of Moly from Dilution of the base metal 316L. After passivation, visually there's no signs of a difference.     Welding 316L with 308L ?

    Hi We've welded 316L base metal with 308L filler (by mistake). I would like to know of any negative effects if the product is used in a potable water application, no more than room temp, static load (in the region of 20 ksi). The product will be passivated prior to use.
