    Bending Capacity of Micropile Splice

Do you have any experiance about the differnce between seamless and welded pipes? I have heard that the seamless is stronger even though it has the same mechanical properties as the welded type.

    Bending Capacity of Micropile Splice

born2drill, that´s interesing. We normally work with YP around 460 mpa so I hope it does´nt effect us. SEshore, Thanks. So the reason why you don´t weld on the construcion site is becouse it´s time consuming? In Scandinavia we use Symmetrix drilling mostly. What type do you use? Do you...

    Bending Capacity of Micropile Splice

Hi SEshore, Ok, but do you need 100% in compression and/or tensile load? By the way, I´m looking for a thread which is 100% in all three (Bend, tensile, compression). Do you know which types are used?

    Bending Capacity of Micropile Splice

About % bending capacity. Why don´t pilers weld on stronger sleevs like the do on drill pipes? I can´t see the point if you can only use 50 % of the pipes capacity.

    Bending Capacity of Micropile Splice

Yes, but it would be great to know which one of them.

    Bending Capacity of Micropile Splice

Erdbau, Im looking for the threads only. Is there a standard used by pilers or do you take oil pipe threads or similar? /Mrturran

    Bending Capacity of Micropile Splice

I´m looking for different types of threads used for micropiles. Which ones are used? Is there a way to get them? Is it all API? Thanks!

How to make an API thread on a steel pipe?

Hi Pete, Thanks very much. The API-thread is of some reason standard for this piling application. Yes, please provide me with names if you have. We need to thread it on a exsisting pipe and can´t weld a pieace on becouse of the application. Do you know about this process, to make a thread...

How to make an API thread on a steel pipe?

I intend to put an API-thread on a massive steel core. The application is piling. Does anyone know which type of machine is used? (oil country lathe?) It´s the same thread that is used on oil pipes (one internal and one external). The steel bar is 8 meter long and have dimensions from 80 mm up...
