    iron ductile pipe corrosion

Additional info. The pressure on the line is 80psi. The wells pump very little to no sand. The iron content is 2ppm. Usually the corrosion occurs on the outside radius. Thanks Tom

    iron ductile pipe corrosion

We have a 4" iron pipe that carries ground water from a submersible pump to the water distribution pipes in our plant. The first 4" elbow from the pump fails twice a year from corrosion. The pump runs 24/7. The ground water is high in iron. what type of corrosion is occurring? Is this...

pumping water using the suction side of pump?

Thanks scastillo This is an appropriation so all 7.8cfs has to be used or it will be taken away. The draw currently varies due to the level in the reservior and actually the reservior is small and silted in. there are other appropriators up stream causing the leel to change. This is another...

pumping water using the suction side of pump?

Thanks everyone The reason for pumping vs gravity is the cost of 18"pipe for gravity feed. The water will exit the dam from an existing gate. the pump will e placed in the reservior. Thanks Tom

pumping water using the suction side of pump?

Thanks dtn Correct it will be a gravity fed suction line. Air will be a problem. Air release valves will probably be needed. I am worried about sucking the pipe down. Thanks for your input Tom

pumping water using the suction side of pump?

I was asked about the following project, I would appreciate any comments on it. The project consist of conveying 7.8cfs of irrigation water 1.5 miles in pvc pipe. Very little drop, approximatly 2"/0.5 mile. The question presented me was, Is there a way to place the pump at the down stream end...

magnet strength testing- pull test vs gauss meter

Thanks everyone for your input. It has been every educational. The application is to remove metal fines, mostly dust from and powdered egg product. Most of this dust is stainless steel, 304 and 316. Please educate me further, does a higher gauss number mean the magnet is able to pull, for...

magnet strength testing- pull test vs gauss meter

What is the best way to test the strength of a magnet - pull test vs gauss meter? The magnets are neodymium(probably miss spelled)magnets encased in stainless steel and in the form of bar magnets and plate housing magnets. The manufacturer believes the pull test is most accurate. our parent...
