Dell Workstation having trouble with large assemblies

Believe it or not.....when I started in a new design position a few years ago, I had a Dell computer that would hang on simple sketches. After a night of searching forums, the culprit turned out to be Microsoft Intellipoint mouse drivers. I have used Logitech mice ever since then. Just my .02 $

Solidworks to DWG, Blocks copy each other in AutoCad

My customer needs to have all his files in DWG and saved out to one DWG file. I batch convert all my Solidworks drawings to DWG and then macro a copy / paste to the master DWG file. Problem is that the hole chart becomes a block and assumes the properties of the 1st block inported into AutoCad...

    Back to the Graphics Cards...Again

We assume you have 2 gigs of ram...... I wasn't able to use an intellipoint mouse / driver with 07. It was causing all sorts of graphic problems and causing the CPU to peg 100% on simple sketches. Are you using a Microsoft mouse?

Solidworks Screen goes blank, processor 25%

Are you using a Microsoft mouse? I had a very similar problem and it was related to a conflict with the mouse driver and video card. I switched to a logitech mouse and have never looked back. It took me a day of deep reading on the forums to find this one out.

    Breaking References in SW Explorer

Using SW 2006 Explorer at my old job, I was able to re-use assemblies and rename them in SW Explorer. This would also break all the external references. Now using SW Explorer 2007, I copied an assembly ( an assembly I have stored in my Library) to a new folder and went to rename the files in it...
