Filler Metal for Welding Nitronic 50 High Strength to 316L

What would be the recommended filler metal for joining these two materials? 308L, 316L, 209? Naturally the strength and corrosion resistance need only be at least that of the 316L. Any information or links/references would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Repeat Hydrotest and Radiography After Weld Grinding?

During the hydrotest of several small ASME B31.3 pipe assemblies, a gouge was inadvertently put in the circumferential butt weld. The gouge was removed by grinding (not below the thickness of the adjacent base metal, the weld is still slightly convex) and then was liquid penetrant examined. The...

316L Tubing-Bad for welding if SULFUR TOO LOW?

A client has specified a sulfur range of 0.006 to 0.012% for this material. We would like it to be simply less than 0.012%. Is this reasonable, or will there be problems welding it (primarily orbital automatic GTAW) if it is below 0.006%? I have seen elsewhere on the forum that welding may be...
