If I have x:=1,2..4 y:=x+1 x=1,2,3,4 y=2,3,4,5 I can do max(y), but how do I get it to return what x causes the max? I cannot do differentiation because I have a more complex equation with absolute value and thus is discontinuous. Thanks

I'm mostly looking for something that you can make simple 2D sketches for structural engineering such as free bodies, beam cross sections, etc. Don't necessarily need an interactive drawing that is slaved to Mathcad numbers.. I'll look at Visio
