I thumbed through that book online and it looks to be a little sparse on technical content, but I picked it up for under 12 bucks shipped on amazon today, so at that price I can't lose too much.
I picked up some of the SAE papers I previously mentioned, and am still working...

I have wasted my money on books/papers before that didn’t have the quality of technical content I was hoping...
