I believe the easist method of determining the heat load is to measure the temperature before you start your process and then after you complete your process, will give you the temperature rise you need to deal with.
Then you can go to this website http://www.heatershop.com/btu_calculator.htm...
I have created an excel spreadsheet that attempts to provide a cooling needs analysis.
Can some of you test drive it and make some recommendations?
Is there away to attach files?
Electrically 120 x 25 is correct as you state. I asked a different question/related to this on the HVAC/R forum and even the 1 deg F cooler adjoining spaces could make a difference. The room is a telecom closet and very small. The walls are only sound bat insulated 5/8 sheetrock. We are only...
Thanks DrRTU, can you provide me a link to a good spreadheet? "Run the numbers with a spread sheet that include the accuracy."
And I believe you are correct regarding:" Sometimes you have to say its close enough."
It is always interesting to ensure verification of your calculations...
If I have a 120v circuit with 10A and one with 16A which totals 26A. But when I calculate for required total BTU/hr for cooling CFM, it doesn't come out to what my conditions currently are.
But since both of the circuits have a common Nuetral, would the total amps for these 2 circuits be...
I have a room that is supplied by 60 F air at 570 CFM and it is maintaning 74.5 F. With no people or lights on in the room.
If I calculate the Sensible Heat at CFM * 1.08 * Delta T or 570*1.08*14.5= 8926 BTU/Hr
Now if I want to convert this to watts to determine the room load. I divide the...
