I have a Copper part which is Nickel coated from outside. Does anybody has any clue what method of Nickel coating was used here - see attached photos. The layer is very thin, edge lift is not seen even under microscope. Might be few micron or less. Also strangely internal bores are not...
"Couple of lenses" sounds very promising. Produce them possibly is not that complicated also if glasses are not so exotic. Coatings is not a problem for me at all (it is not broadband). Just design costs of ~$20K a bit terrible. Is there really that much work? For experienced Zemax designer few...

I have to use 60Hz rated motor in Europe on 230/50Hz power, but it hardly starts(sometimes not at all). Plus heats quickly.
I think this is frequency issue and canging capacitors might help. I've searched the net but can not find any info
