How do I calculate the torque and horsepower needed to saw mat.?

I agree that there probably arent any EXACT ways of doing it. I was curious if someone had experience doing this or knew how companies like Barringer or Kaltenbach accomplish this. Im guessing they do it with the good old educated guess from experience and test method.

How do I calculate the torque and horsepower needed to saw mat.?

For example, I want to know what motor specs I need to design a saw that will cut through a fiberglass rod. Are there equations for this? For instance, number of teeth on the blade coupled with a cross sectional area of the material are some data that could be used?

    Cryo freezing bearings...........

    Cryo freezing bearings...........

I meant to say bushing...........I know doing this to needle/roller/ball ect would not be smart. Currently we're dipping them but doing manualy resulting in varying temps. Im going to build a fixture and spray them for a length of time to get consistent temps to ensure quality. Im pretty sure...

Can I do this in solidworks? I have a plate that is 20 by 10 and the 20 length is oriented horizontally...
