I would recommend basic training in MAZAK optroniks in Chicago - you will get some ideas in cutting, safety, maintanence. Besides, Mazak ussualy sells machines through authorised dillers who have technician who could do such training.

Actually every brand his advantages. For Mazak one of interesting things - using hybrid system instead of flying optics - table with material is moving X-direction, laser head is moving in Y direction. Internal alignment is not diturbed and easy fixed + beam is more powerfull - 4 mirrors...

1)If you have different cutting conditions on different sides of sheet - the most likely is internal alignment( you may check it - do nozzle alignment at x=0 y=0 and after that - check it at the far end of the table.
