Dear Racookpe1978
I'm sorry my question was not clear. I'm looking for a method to check the other welds, the other apparently good, that are not leaking, while the plant is running.
Thanks and sorry again
Good morning all,
In the Plant where I'm working we are facing several leakages from branches welds, like on sockolets or weldolets, on SS lines in corrosive service. Do you know if there are methods to check the integrity of these welds while the Plant is running?
Many thanks in advance!
The pipe shall be straight seam for general process service at rating 150 and 300 LB. I'm looking inside several applicable pipe classes because the plant where I'm working had different revamping from different companies in the last years, and all them applied their own classes for the same...
Hi
what is the better option for welded C.S. pipe (SAW or EFW) for 26" and above?
Is it better to apply it starting from 26" or from 16"? At the moment I'm using API 5L Gr.B PSL2 SAW from 26", but several companies use different specifications.
Thanks
Hi All
I'm revamping a plant where lots of other companies did similar
works in the last years, applying their own piping spec. In general I'm seeing they applied similar standards and materials, while API 5L Gr.B PSL2-SAW or ASTM A672 Gr.B60 Cl.12-EFW or ASTM A672 Gr.B55 Cl.13-EFW has been...
As far as I know there is not a rule, but instrument connections are sometimes with higher rating in the small bore range only, for two reasons: the first is to have a stronger assembly. Expecially if you have a flanged nozzles on tanks the use of 600lb. or 300 lb. can avoid further supports on...

I'm studying the possibility to execute two 32" hot taps on the old concrete pipe headers dia.1600 mm of sea water supply/return. This to avoid the drainage of the whole system. The concrete pipes are "Bonna" concrete pipes with 9.5mm internal steel plate as reinforcement. The pipes were...

We are starting the construction of a 11x2.5x2.5 meters Gas Skid to be installed in Russia. There is a generic contractual note that asks compliance to GOST Standards, that are the Russian Norms. Since it's just a small skid, does someone know if I can calculate the structure using...
Dear All
I'm revamping a plant where our client has all the 2" and above valves 900-1500-2500 LB with BW ends, regardless the service or the valve type. My company normally use flanged valves. What's for you the better selection?
Bleed rings, or drip rings, are commonly used to branch a 1/2" or 3/4" assembly, like drains or pressure taps, where you can use a flanged connection to save space and components. I used bleed rings with 1" holes also.
Here you can see full details...
