That was exactly the result that I was getting, but the documentation seemed to indicate that it could work.

It appears that this file is hooking into explorer.exe when running a file search from the file open window and that causes SW to crash out without warning. Strangely enough it also crashes when do a file search from an open file explorer window as well.
Error log that is generated says...
I just figured it out.
If you suppress a certain error message, it won't work.
So, do not suppress the error message that reads;
"This cell is parametrically linked to a part or assembly document...etc"
