    Exhaust fan for restroom

Hi, I need help finding litrature and advise on design of a central exhaust system from large public restrooms. Each facility has about 10 sanitary fixtures. 75 cfm per fixture is my target. Restroom is on first floor and exhaust must be thru roof on 3rd floor. Would the fan go on the roof or...

Cooling load due to 100% outside air and no return air

As you mentioned, the outside air has latent and sensible load components on the unit, and also the interior space could have latent and sensible load components. You have to add all loads of same type together to size the unit. hope this helps. Regards,

    Schrader Fittings w/ R-410a

Make sure the fitting's o-ring seal is compatible chemically with the refrigerant material. The other thing is to watch for vibrations. A heavy switch on a simple schrader fitting will break-off quickly. Otherwise is it should be fine to do so.

NPT fittings in an AC system?

A/C fittings should be SAE, type and preferrably backed up with an O-ring system. Vibration is severe in this application.

    Static Pressure in air blowers

I have a question along these same ideas. In pumps, there is an NPSH, required for pump to operate. Is there such a term and requirement for fans? Is there a minimum total head required on the fan inlet. Thanks,

    Chill water Coil Airflow

On a large old central AHU (30000 cfm), the maintenance wants to increase the airflow. I think that the chill water coil should have been designed for a specific airflow and we can not just increase the fan cfm. Please comment. Thanks

    Elevator Shaft Cooling

gepman, this is an exisitng building and owner just installed A/C unit on the roof of car, so they created the problem of overheating shaft. I have done the heat load and know how much 70-75 deg air I need to keep the shaft at about 90 deg. There is no top access to outside so we have to do a...

    Elevator Shaft Cooling

To cool off a warm elevator hoist way (3 story tall),we are going to introduce conditioned air at 75 deg. Is it better to extract air out from the top by an exhaust fan, or, force air in at the bottom with a fan? Should the piston effect of elevator travel be considered? Thanks,
