    Powder for Magnetic Brake?

Hi all, Anybody know what powders are good for magnetic brake application? Does it have to be of stainless steel for temperaure and corrosion resistances? Does particle size matter to high full-field torque and low no-field drag torque? Which is better, small (10s micro) or large (100s micro)?

Magnetic Properties of Tool Steel H13

Thank Mike and ED. Our indirect measurement from inductance data seems suggest less than 100 in 1 Oe range.

Magnetic Properties of Tool Steel H13

Magmike, Thank you very much for your response. The Chemical composition of H13: 0.41%C, 5.35%Cr,1.4%Mo, 0.35%Mn, 1.0%Si, 0.90%V, balance Iron. How much permeability might be guessed per the compositions?

Magnetic Properties of Tool Steel H13

Hi all, The tool steel H13 is a Fully Magnetic material. But no magnetic properties data could be found. Any body has used it in magnetic design? What are the permeability and B-H curve. Thank you in advance for any inputs. Key
