My client piping material spec (originated from a PIP spec) calls for the following 30" NPS valve:
Type: .......................... CHECK
Class: ......................... 150
Ends:.......................... RF FLG
Body/Cover:................ CS (ASTM A216-WCB)
Trim: ...
The specs are modified PIP specs. Modified to suit client's preferences. Additionally, I have found mistakes (unless I am calculating incorrectly) in PIP's specs. Particularly, the use of S-STD 2" CS pipe w/ 0.125" C.A. which fails the B31.3 pressure design calc for wall thck @ full flange.
I am looking for tips on how to proceed with checking client "Piping Material Specification Line Class". I understand that everything must of course be rated for the appropriate Press/temp, necessary components to fit-up, etc... Essentially, I am looking for advice from someone who has done...
