Amplify signal level from microvolts to 5Volts

Hi elvik The AGC is not required in my application because all the obstacles nearby has to be monitored. A 40Khz. UV signal is transmitted and the reflected signal from the object is received. By monitoring the time gap between the transmitter sinal and received one the distance is calculated...

Amplify signal level from microvolts to 5Volts

dear lewish & xnuke Thanks a lot for your ideas. As lewish said I was presiously tried with 1000 times amplifiaction with LM324 op-amp I ended up with oscillation. I will have to go for 100 amplification. I have generated only +5V supply in present design. Can I use directly use +5V and other...

    Stepper motor drive details

Hi cbarn24050 Thanks for your suggestion. The device L298 I have tried. But the device is found to be heated after some time. This happens when the stepper motor is stalled at a position. Is there any way to reduce the heat of the device. Can you tell why the device is heated up?. Rgds, JOHN XAVIER

    Stepper motor drive details

Hello all I am currently working on a project to drive a stepper motor (bipolar). I am using national make LM18200T. The device capable of withstanding upto 55V and 3A maximum drive. It has very low on resistance and hence the device is not getting heated up even continous drive upto 2A.But I...

Amplify signal level from microvolts to 5Volts

My project is to detect the object distace by using ultrosonic sensors. The signal from the sensor is in the order or microvolts. Can I use OP-AMP to amlifiy the signal to give to microcontrollers. Please suggest the part number of the OP-amp (which is easily available) I can try to amplify...
