I need info in ANSI valve wall thickness requirements....ie. how thick should a 300# ansi ball valve of 10" size be???

The orientation will effect the valve IF it is not a "caged" style valve-the weight of the valve stem will cause wear faster on one side due to the gravitationally assisted friction.
A floating ball valve is captured between the seats and is litterally floating---this type of valve is generally of smaller size and of lower pressure class since a higher pressure can press the ball into the downstream seat and "unseat" the upstream side. Also really heavy large balls...
