I just started to check the adequacy of the existing flare system which was built way back in 1950's.
Initially i started doing the adequacy check for the existing PSV's so that i can make sure that i dont have any in adequate PSV's or inlet pressure drop offering valves.
but my doubt...
Contatnt back pressure is northing but the pressure at the PSV tail pipe when it is in closed condition.
Superimposed back pressure is northing but but the pressure at the PSV tail pipe when it is relieving.

In addition to that normal for fire sizing of LPG vessel better dont take any credit factors there by we can be even more safe.what u say ???correct me if wrong.

2nd option - what do you mean by split load ???the problem i am facing here is the sizing flowrate is very less when compared to device rated flow.
Say i have a PSV provided for a system in which the rated flowrate of the PSV is 10 times bigger than the required sizing flow rate.Ultimately my inlet and outlet pressure drop are not within the code limits.In this case is there any possible solution available other than going for a smaller...
