    Conditional Statements controlling expressions

Hi, Can anyone give me some advice regarding controlling an expression with a conditional statement ? I'm using NX 7.5.5.4 MP2 I have two linked bodies in a part. There is an angular expression controlling the position of these bodies. There is a plane constructed between the bodies and a far...

NX to IGES Batch File help !

Thanks Jerry, Yes, I know about the exporter in NX, but the batch file is something different I'm working on. I want to run the exporter without opening NX. I know this is possible, I just don't know the attribute name required. Cheers Gav

NX to IGES Batch File help !

I'm working on a batch file which converts NX .prt to a .igs file. Within the .def file, there are several selection criteria quoted. eg: UGI_VIEW_MASK = TOP,FRONT,RIGHT,BACK,BOTTOM,LEFT,TFR-ISO,TFR-TRI,User Defined UGI_USER_DEFINED_VIEWS = UGI_DRAWING_NAMES = UGI_CURVE_MASK =...

    Section Hinge Line orientation

Phillip, I tried out what you were saying, and used my method to define the projected view hinge line. When I rotated the base view, the projected view also moved, although I did have to update it. HGE, no worries, I realise we're a little behind the times here !

    Section Hinge Line orientation

Phillip, I suppose it depends on the objects available for selection I guess. What were they ? You mean the projected view is not associative to the base view after creation ?

    Section Hinge Line orientation

    Section Hinge Line orientation

Hi, So, further to yesterdays' cry for help, I'm on NX4, and it's actually a curve/basic line that I'm wanting to use to orient the section hinge line. It's a line from a sketch that I'm selecting. Morans, yeah I'm not new to Ug, and I've been using the 'curve at 90 degress' solution for a...

    Section Hinge Line orientation

Hi, some help would be greatly appreciated ! I'm inserting a secion view in a drawing. I pick the parent view, then I want the hinge line to be perpendicular to a curve in the view. Whichever way I try to do it, I only seem to be able to set the hinge line to follow the curve. I know it's...

    Associate Views

Thanks gents, much appreciated. I understand what you mean JohnTBaker, it would make things a little more complicated than necessary, especially when there is a perfectly good way of doing it. One of the guys in the office asked me, and I thought it might have been possible. He'll just have...

    Associate Views

Hiya, Working in Drafting on UG NX4 4.0.4.2, and I was wondering if there is a way of associating two views, so that if one moves so does the other. I know you can select both views before dragging, but I'd like to have some sort of permanent link between them. Might be a stupid question, but...
