    Simulated on FEMM.... Need Reviews.....

Hi friends. I have simulated a Magnetic Circuit on FEMM(snapshots posted below). I want to understand the effect of the foll: 1) The material of the holder. 2) The Thickness of material in different areas in the circuit (i have varied the thickness to vary the saturation area) 3) Selection of...

    24-Bit & 32-Bit ADC input filter

No not for school. I'm working in a weighing scale company and I have to design input filters for these ADC's. I'm pretty new to all this so it'll take some time for me to understand everything. Once i know what all things are supposed to be considered for the design I can do more research on...

    24-Bit & 32-Bit ADC input filter

Whoa! thats a hell lotta things to consider. Ok guys i have to study these things really well because its quite new for me. I'll understand all this well and then define my problem. I might need some more help in understanding these concepts I'll keep posting my doubts. Thanks a lot....

    24-Bit & 32-Bit ADC input filter

Hi friends I'm working on 24-Bit & 32-Bit ADC's. I need to design filters at the input of these ADC's. Which type of filter will work the best here? My reference voltage is 2.5V and the input span is -2.5 to 2.5V. I want the output count fluctuation of <5. Thanks...

    Magnet Temperature Compensation??

Well I dint understand how do you saturate the steel? I mean when I'm magnetizing the PM it is completely assembled with the steel. So how do I know the steel is saturated? The magnet i'm working on is used in very high precision weighing balances with accuracy of 0.1mg and less. In this case...

    Magnet Temperature Compensation??

Basically flux density of the material decreases with increase in temperature. Heres the link to the Thermoflux sheets. http://www.vacuumschmelze.de/dynamic/en/home/products/materialsampparts/softmagnetic/nickeliron/thermoflux.php The technique is called shunt temperature compensation if i'm...

    Magnet Temperature Compensation??

Hi guys, Has anyone worked on Magnet Temperature Compensation using ThermoFlux sheets?? I'm currently using AlNiCo5 magnets whic have Reversible Temperature Coefficient 0.02% My requirement is <0.001%. I was told that temperature dependent permeability sheets can be used. Any thoughts on this??

    Need to analyze this Magnet

Hi guys, have finally analyzed the magnet i was working on. I used FEMM and the results i got were pretty good matching closely with the gaussmeter readings. here's the snapshot of the screen. FEMM proved real useful in understanding the magnet design. Thanks a...

    Need to analyze this Magnet

Thanks guys for your replies.... 1) The magnet is being magnetized with its complete assembly so i guess that part is resolved. @electricpete : 1) It is axisymmetric. 2) Are you talking about the magnetizing force? I am new to this and would like to understand the theory behind it. Can you...

    Need to analyze this Magnet

Well I'm in India so traveling upto Chicago will be quite expensive.. 1) The wires are connected to a temperature sensor. There is no particular logic to that because we are trying to measure the temperature of the magnet. I have just been assigned the project and there is no documentation...

    Need to analyze this Magnet

Hi friends, Im working on this(attached image) particular magnet right now. It is AlNiCo5. I want to analyze the magnetic circuit formed here and calculate the flux in the air gap. I want to design similar type of magnetic circuit with different shapes and sizes but I really cant understand how...
