Does anyone know where can I rent LCI-2052 Low Current Injector (Mitton) in Canada? My objective is to measure touch and step voltage using the LCI-2052.
How about to measure water resistivity as a return path for fault current in a hydroelectric dam that uses a penstock or a tunnel for carrying the water.
If we want to measure ground water resitivity for desiging a ground system for a station what is the procesure?
We conducting a ground water resistivity test on the site or take a sample for measuring the resistivity?
One more question. How do we select the selected points for point to point connectivity test in a station to see what points are connected to the grid. If there is no drawing for the grounding system.
Troepe,
You are right. We can inject 100A DC current and measure voltage drop and use a shunt resistance to measure current to calculte the resistance of the connection points for point to point connectivity test of the grid.
The link explains about ground grid resistance measurment. I am looking information about the ground-grid integrity measurment test using DC equipmentor high current injection test?
Do you recommend a separate grounding grid design system for the spillway or connect it to the hydroelectric station ground grid? The generator in the hydroelectric dam is connected by a high resistance to the grid and the fault current is limited. But if there is a fault at the line connected...
Hi there,
Does anyone have experience on designing gronding for spillway grounding of hydroelectric dam? I would like to have your comments on that?
