Thanks again for the replies. I created a pdf with a dpi of 1200!! I then inserted that file into solidworks and hey presto.....the same poor quality as previous!
I am now convinced it is not the pdf file itself but the way Solidworks handles the insertion of the pdf file. This has been a...
I think it was created straight from solidworks. PDF of a drawing. Quality is great and inserts perfectly and scales perfectly in AutoCad but not in Solidworks.
See if you can have any better luck.
Thanks.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=5ca95b52-19a0-4df2-b314-7ef67137ee4e&file=641123-208_R04_-_DBM_HCL_Line_General_Arrangement_-_HCL_Line.pdf
I am currently using Soldworks 2010 SP2.0 and the pdf I am trying to insert has been created in "high quality" and does not need scaled when it comes in. However the quality is very poor when inserted into my drawing sheet.
I have tried BMP, JPEG, PDF....no luck so far.
Please help!
Thanks.
I am trying to insert a PDF or a JPEG into my drawing sheet but the quality is terrible. Has anyone found a way to do this and keep a good quality print?
It looks like unless you insert model dims then SW just assumes a linear dimension. That's ok, I thought I'd ask as we dimension manually to cylindrical sections regularly and it I seem to have this habit of forgetting to add the diameter symbol! It would be good to have this...
Imagine a circular bar with a bore to keep it simple. I created the sketch and revolved. In the drawing I took a side view and sectioned it to get a view showing the internals. If I then use smart dimension to dimension the O/D or I/D I get the correct size but as a linear dimension (no...
We are currently running SW 2007 but no matter how many releases there are why haven't solidworks come up with a way to detail a diameter in a section view which applies the diameter symbol automatically. Regardless of the view being a section, why isn't solidworks smart enough to know the face...
I am having a problem with Hyperlinking within the Solidworks Drawing.
We have standard parts which I have added to the Drawing Template via some hyperlinks, however when you start a new drawing using the template, the links are broken (it links to the main solidworks folder).
Same thing...
