Once the element reaches the limit in tension and "cracks" does it have a strain softening portion of the curve or does the element immediately stop providing force in the direction normal to the crack?
In other words, after cracking, does the Coefficient of Elasticity immediately go to zero...
I applied a displacement to a structural surface. In postprocessing, I am able to find the reaction force on a single selected node, but I want to the know the TOTAL FORCE over all 300 or so nodes so that I can calculate pressure on the surface. How should I go about finding this value...
