Pressure Vessel Head Petal Weld Sequence
Thanks for the reply Fegenbush. I was actually wondering about the sequence between longitudinal welds and circumferential welds. Do longitudinal welds on both sides of a circumferential necessarily need to be welded prior to welding the circumferential? If so, can you explain why? Best regards,- bjmc

Hello, When welding a vessel head is there a golden rule that you must weld the upper longitudinal welds before welding the circumferential weld immediately below it (assume a bottom head).
