Jerry: I see, so it's not supported in NX.
John: I tried accessing it at home and I can see it. As indicated in the picture that I posted I need something with two extension lines. Jerry already said that it is not supported in NX.
Thank you both for helping.
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a way to define a straightness geometric tolerance on a line curve(not edge)? I tried using entity as reference type but it won't let me select the curve. Thank you.

Raymond
John: Did you post an illustration? I can't see it.
Jerry: I tried using a flag but it only has one side of the extension line.
It is supposed to look like the one drawn in the attached picture.
Thank you...
Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to use extension lines with a geometric tolerance definition in NX on its own without attaching it to a dimension? Thank you.

Hi,
I've been trying to define a diameter dimension PMI on a sphere within NX 7.5 but it won't let me select the spherical face. I could define the diameter dimension on cylindrical faces but not on spherical ones. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thank you very much.

Raymond
Hi John,
Nice! :D Thank you soooo much for the files. I assume that the first part of the filename is also the bitmap name used in NX?

Raymond
Hi John,
Thank you very much for the update. Haha... :D No pressure dude. I really wasn't planning on reminding you until the end of this week.

Hi Mark,
Thank you for the update. I've tried the bitmaps that you gave and it's not really what I'm looking for. I'm interested in the Part Navigator tree PMI bitmaps like the Datum Feature Symbol, the different bitmaps for Feature Control Frames, and Dimensions. I attached a sample picture of...
Hi John,
Wow that's a lot. Does not matter though, I guess I'll just have to find a way to sort through it.
No hurry, this product is still currently in the research phase and would not start until several months later. I'm just afraid that you will forget about this post.
I'll just try to...
Hi John,
Awesome! A good workaround for toolbar icons but very painful especially if you still don't know what to use and just browsing around. Also, not applicable for things like the PMI icons used in the Part Navigator tree. Thank you very much John! That helped me somehow.
I would still...
Hi Mark,
Currently I'm most interested in the PMI icons displayed on the Part Navigator tree. Also, I'm looking for icons that can represent a point, line, curve, circle, plane, cylinder, cone, and sphere. Although, a list of what's available will be best solution for future developments. Thank...
Hi John,
I suspected it is like that. I've spent some time trying to track the bitmap files by looking into the documentation and searching within the installation folder but was unsuccessful. I would really appreciate it if you can track them down or give me a copy. Thank you very much...
Hi,
I have been looking into the new NX Open tree control. The tree control nodes has the capability to have its own icon. I can see with the examples and documentation that you can use NX bitmaps but the thing is I cannot find the documentation about which bitmaps are available. Does anyone...
Hi,
I currently do not have access to the NX documentation so I just want to ask if anyone knows the Visual Studio version used for NX Open development in NX 7.5? Thank you very much.

Hi camelsoft. I'm fairly new to this too so I may not be able to help that much. In my case I did not even need a .utd and .master file or even added additional environment variables. I also placed your menu file on my startup folder and it worked for me. Based on the paths you have posted, it...
In your custom_dirs.dat do not include the startup folder. In your case it would just be "C:\Users\tyln\Desktop\NX_UG_customization" and not "C:\Users\tyln\Desktop\NX_UG_customization\startup". NX will automatically search for the startup folder.
Hi. Under the "Session->Information" there is a function called "DisplayObjectDetails" that shows the information about a geometric object is the listing window. Is there a way to get those information individually? Thank you very much.
