Ice damage to Pilings
Can anyone supply a resource that could speak about, steel piling in a shallow water body that will be subjected to ice and moving ice caused by wind. The site is in the Pairies of Western Canada. What is the significance of CE as it relates to welding? What problems arise if you weld material of CE>0.6? The weld is a fillet on a T-joint where one metal is 50W steel and the other is steel with high CE.- racanuck
