Interpart copy analogy in siemens NX7.5

Thank you unwam2ie, this was exactly what i was looking for. Even in multiple methods! I just found also a other method (to complete this post): a)insert>combine>assembly cut.. b)select target and tool but i guess your methods are more general to use. greets, brecht vermeulen

Interpart copy analogy in siemens NX7.5

Hi, I wondered if it is also possible in Siemens NX 7.5 to do interpart copies between parts of an assembly (like in solid edge), the boolean way. For example, two parts need to fit with a tooth-slot combination. I have a part with the tooth, is it possible to copy this feature into the other...

extract coordinates of nodes of a mesh in the right order

Hey everyone, I have a practical question. I would like to mesh a 1D curve. Therefore i make a fem file in which i import my sketch (closed) curve. I mesh this with a 1D mesh whilst marking 'auto-chain'. Then i would like to export a list of the node-coordinates. Now i work with a clumsy...

configuration of sinamics g120 with cu240s

Hi Ozmosis, Thank you for your helpfull reply. 1) Ok i get it, i also saw an option in the configuration wizard: motor identification on standstill. I guess that will do the trick too if i want to be sure? 2) I looked further into the ON/OFF option. So i guess i need to use an extra digital...

configuration of sinamics g120 with cu240s

hi, i have some questions concerning the configuation of a siemens g120 drive using starter-software. 1. The motor is build-in in a wagon to transport heavy loads. The wagon is guided by rails. If i will do an autotuning on the motor, it will turn. Now i dont know how many turns the motor...

Hide internal thread surface in drawing

Thank you mjcole for your help. But this is not what i need. The view is not a section. So i guess that's the reason it doesn't work for me. The threaded hole is for example M8x1,25 with thread surface included > extra surface with diameter 6,8. When i hide the hole in the drawing, the...

Hide internal thread surface in drawing

Hi, I'm making some drawings in pro engineer starting from 3D part files. I want to hide threaded holes in the drawing. But when i hide the layer with the holes, only the outer diameter is hided, and the included thread surface is still there. How do i hide it? I also tried with hide/show, but...

    Chain

I can copy the links, but they are not connected. But in Pro engineer, he copies the links following a pattern and it seems like it is constrainted. In NX it doesn't copy the constraints with it.

    Chain

Hi, thanks for the replies I searched youtube about modeling chain. I saw a video where they draw the path the chain must follow, divide it into equal pieces and put a link at each point of the path (something like follow path or something). But i never saw the doing constraints. Is there...

    Chain

You mean if i don't want to animate it, i can leave the constraints and just copy it with offset. Yea, but it would be nice if i can insert my chain and just put it around the chainwheels. Thats why i need the constraints.

    UGNX6

i guess if your license is on your own machine (= no need to connect with a license server via VPN), you need to browse to your license file (around step 7 : licensing). I guess it is in the installation folder. C:\program files\ugs\nx 6.0\ if your license is on a server, your need to enter the...

    Chain

Thank you for the reply jerry. It will be indeed quite a work. luckely i only need one concentric constraint to connect two links.

    Chain

Hi, Does someone know how to draw a chain? I already have one link. I can copy that one, but the constraints between the two links aren't copied. Plz? regards bvrml
