High voltage alternative to Wattstopper FSP-211

347 is pretty standard for highbay lighting. Unfortunately the manufacturer doesn't offer anything quite as tidy as the FSP-211. We can cobble some stuff together.. was hoping there was another manufacturer that offered a solution. Seem WS has a lot of the patents!

High voltage alternative to Wattstopper FSP-211

We love the functionality of the FSP-211, but need one for 347VAC applications. Anybody know of an alternative? Thanks!

    HCL gas in a warehouse

Thanks guys, your responses were what I had anticipated. The present design is simply unsuitable, we will need to make a special box for this application. The customer didnt mention the environment, we only found out with an "oh by the way" after the box was fabricated and delivered! Silly...

    HCL gas in a warehouse

I have an interesting situation where I need to install an electronics box roughly 70ft above some HCL baths. I have no further information on the environment other than they have to replace their light fixtures often (less than 2 years) because of corrosion. The advantage is my box will...

AISI 4615 and "cast ductile Iron"

Thanks for the info! The reference to ductile cast iron is that is the other material I am dealing with. From my experience parts made from it vary great in strength. Are there are rough numbers to plug in for a first pass for modulus/yield strength? I tend to generally deal with a very...

AISI 4615 and "cast ductile Iron"

I am trying to do a quick analysis of an part I am trying to do a simulation on. having trouble finding definitive mechanical properties of AISI 4615. Anybody have any personal experience? I can do some estimating but since I know it is a case hardened steel I was curious of any...

IP 65+, panel mount connector options

Looking for something inexpensive for a (future) high volume product.. Would prefer rectangle snap in, but can deal with circular. 200V, less than an amp, 3 pins (one wont be used for now...) so a 2 pin version would be ok near term. Will likely be plastic for cost. Been using some switch...

    Material database control

At my company we use SW, Pro/E and ANSYS products. I am working on a way to have a single (or perhaps mirrored) databases so (for example) if the SW designers selects material "XYZ", the Analyst can go to ANSYS and select "XYZ" and get the exact same thing. We are thinking about storing this...

    Electrical thermal question

Yea, obviously a non latching relay consumes power on the coil side, but dissipates little energy in the form of heat from the load side. It is a tracking/video system (PTZ), and when it is not in motion, only the video stuff should be making heat. The stepper motors are holding, but the...

    Electrical thermal question

My initial plan was to assume 100% of input power was converted to heat, but introduce known duty cycles to bring that number closer to reality.. unless I could come up with a solid estimate of actual power used to create heat for each component.

    Electrical thermal question

Its been a few years since I had to do any thermal analysis. I have acclimated myself with the software. However, I have several generic electrical components (self contained video encoders, solid state PC, splitters etc) that I have power usage for, but not idea how much of the power is...

Mechanical Engineering consultants and small business owners

My contacts are solely based on previous employment. Large defense contractors are hard to get involved with if you don't know somebody directly. However, my work with a smaller (15 person) company was a word of mouth thing. I later found out that they did find another guy via...

Thanks for the insight, obviously you have a fantastic "problem" :)

Mechanical Engineering consultants and small business owners

Right now I personally do about 20hrs a week of engineering work for a defense contractor (basic machine design, drafting, some analysis etc) and have one full time employee on a specific program also for the same company. I am thinking about putting more effort into expanding my business and...
