    Tapping Delrin

Is this a blind hole or thru hole ? if it is a thru hole just use a pully tap with collant and use a feed of 10 IPM and X that by your threads per inch. We tap a lot of delrin without any problems by just using standard machining practices. If this is a blind hole you will need to peck tap...

    Sheet Metal Bend Parameters

I am desigining a Sheet Metal box (.015 thk material)that will be made with a CNC Bending Machine. When I turn this into a sheet metal part using "Insert Bends" I am not sure what I can get away with on the "Bend Parameters" "Bend Radius", using .015 thk steel what would be a safe radius for...

New PC on a very limited budget

You will not Regret this move, I had a High dollar Radeon card to begin with and was not able to do anything in solidworks, the graphics did not work right and was unable to do much of anything. After putting in the Nvida card it was like night from day.

    Sheet Metal Problem

will I do this in the flat state or in the bended state, when I do this will it show the formed holes in the flat state? I am kind of puzzled why solidworks does not support the form tools in the flat state, when I am building this part in the real word (in the shop) I need to use form tools...

New PC on a very limited budget

I would not use a Integrated graphics card (on board), you may want to change the graphics card one day. I have found that radeon graphic cards do not work well with solidworks, you need a Nvdia graphics card, I am using the Nvdia Quadro 500/FX600 and is working very well, they are not cheap but...

    Sheet Metal Problem

solidworks 2008 This is a combustion chamber for a model jet engine. I am drawing the outer tube for this assembly. I can flatten the part and get the basic holes in the part, I then used the form tools (when flattened) to get the holes and vents that need formed. The problem is when I bend it...
