    self degating gates in split molds.

    yes. I was thinking of either a submarine gate, a tunnel gate or so. But i don't know how to place it between the splits, so that it will degate when the part etc. is ejected like it does in a normal two plate mold. if someone could provide a picture of an example to do this, i would be very happy.

    Hi people. i would like to know, if someone could help me with some info about die casting aluminum: - what is the shrinkage of aluminum? - how big should the draft angles be? - how about the size of the runners and gate(s)? im goind to die cast a part which volume is equal to 17.6 cubic inches.

    Hi people. My company are thinking of bying a simulation app for injection molding simulation. Its either gonna be Autodesk Moldflow og Moldex 3D. Does anyone have any experience with these apps? Which one comes out with the most reliable results etc? We use SolidWorks for CAD by the way.
