15-5 PH Condition 1025 Heat Treat Per AMS 2759/3

Thank you for the response. That's what I thought would be said. It's now up to our MRB Engineer to make disposition as I have rejected the parts for not being processed to the drawing requirement. Unfortunately, the rejected detail is part of an assembly, which means disassembly, stripping and...

15-5 PH Condition 1025 Heat Treat Per AMS 2759/3

My Customer material requirement was 15-5 PH per AMS 5759. An additional requirement was to heat treat to condition H1025 per AMS 2759. I purchased material from the Mill as Cond 1025H but was not certified to AMS2759 for the heat treat. The Mill says that his Condition H1025 is for unfinished...

Re-Heat Treat 15-5 due to wrong condition

We had a requirement for a supplier to Heat Treat parts to 180-200 KSI and achieve a hardness of 40 - 43 HRC per a customer specification The parts were processed to condition H1025 resulting in hardness of 36 - 37 HRC. I assume they should have been processed to condition H925 to achieve the...

    Pyrometry Calibration Start of cycle

I guess my question wasn't clear. If a meter is sitting on the shelf and has not been used since it's last calibration, what would change in 30 days that would require it to be re-calibrated? Could it be issued with a new label without calibrating it? I have at least 10 meters and would like to...

    Pyrometry Calibration Start of cycle

We use Fluke meters while performing SATs. I recently sent two meters out for calibration which the new re-calibration date is 30 days. Is it permissible to hold one unit back 15 days and release it with a new label staring the 30 day cycle so the calibration of the units will be staggered.

    elctrical bond between faying surfaces

Yes! we meet the requirement, but I'm confused as to why there would be a bare area covered by sealant. Why not have chem film and primer on all surfaces and let the fasteners establish the contact.

    elctrical bond between faying surfaces

When applying the BMS595 sealant to the electrical faying surface, do you also cover the electrical bond area. My interpetation of Boeing Spec BAC5117-6 Cat 2 is that you apply the sealant to the entire faying surface of one part. I'm dealing with an aluminum assy and there is a bracket to be...
