Does someone still manufacture a sonodur-type hardness tester? I did a quick search and was surprised that I was unable to find someone who does. Is there a problem with using these type of testers?

Thanks for the help. I did find out fromthe guy that the company makes rollers for material handling conveyors so I doubt it refers to those standards. I was just curious more than anything else, I do appreciate the thought.

Someone asked me about what type of steel they use and the only designation that is labeled on the tubing is R288,they also get in, to a lesser extent, R106. I can not find any references for this. Does anyone have any knowledge of this or somewhere where I may be able to find this info. My...

Greg, your comment about the taper has caught my attention. I don't recall ever seeing anything about a most efficient shape for a member in compression. Just out of curiousity is there an ideal taper?
