    To restate the question differently, 1. Is there a U.S. University doing research on analysis and testing of externally loaded pressure vessels? 2. Is there a university that's doing research into improvements/clarifications to the ASME Design by Analysis rules?

    Does anyone know of a U.S. University that may be involved in research into testing of pressure vessels subject to external pressure. Also of interest would be any university academic work to help clarify "design by analysis" rules? Any insight would be appreciated.
