Is it bad practice to have a different number of fasteners on each side of a repair? For example a stringer repair, can you have 3 rivets on the forward side and 2 on the aft side of the discrepancy?
I usually just use the 10" or 5" grids on the Boeing dwg's to scale off of. If the part has a loft or is very complicated, I tend to refer to a sample part off of the aircraft or in stock to get the dimensions from to model a part. Just make sure you get a scale from the 10" grid and make sure...
